 
Every year, Dave
Kirk Automotive gives a brand new car or truck to a student as a reward for
their perfect attendance in high school. 2005 was no different as the CCHS
students gathered in the gymnasium for the big giveaway.
Starting out the festivities, last year's winner
Zack Clouse gave Dave Kirk a gift.
Cumberland County Director Of Schools Dr. Patty
Ragsdale said, "every community should have a Dave
Kirk". How true! According
to Dr. Ragsdale, attendance numbers have been at a whopping 95% since the 2005
Spring break, and an average of 400 more students have been in attendance this
year, than in 2004, when the program was first instituted.
The names are drawn! The program has been a
huge success with over 12,000 entries this year! They draw 5 names and
each name is checked to make sure they are eligible to drive through the State
Of TN and present to win!

10 (NBC) what Cumberland County is all about!

Crystal Ann Dirschel...Come On Down! Crystal
is a Senior at CCHS and as luck would have it, totaled her old car a few weeks
earlier!
 
What do you do for the man that just gave you a new
car with an MSRP of $18,900? You hug him first of all! Crystal was
speechless...
...Until
it all settled in! "MOM...I WON!"
 
It
comes with the territory...Cumberland County's new celebrity...Crystal hits the
interview trail, first with our own Ronni Chase...next with WBIR
Channel 10 (NBC) out of Knoxville!
Dave
Kirk is indeed a gentleman, opening the doors to Crystal's new car for her.
And,
as irony would have it...Crystal and last year's winner, Zack are good buddies!
