Crossville Police Investigate Student Social Media Threat

The City of Crossville Police Department, working in conjunction with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, investigated a Stone Memorial High School student for posting a potentially threatening photo on social media Monday morning. Following an in-depth investigation, no credible threat has been discovered and the situation has been resolved. Police say this should lessen any possible fears by any of the intended recipients of the post, ensuring the continued safety of all students.

The Crossville-Cumberland County Crime Stoppers is asking the public for help in locating Dwayne Wallace Carroll, who is wanted for Failure To Appear on Theft of Merchandise and Violation of Probation. Dwayne Wallace Carroll is a 26-year-old white male, known to frequent the Old Deer Lodge Pike area of Morgan County, TN. If you know where he is hiding out, please call the Crime Stoppers Tip Hotline at 931-200-1173, OR POST A TIP USING YOUR P3 MOBILE TIP APP. There will be a minimum $200 payout for information leading to his arrest.

Entries Being Taken For Crossville Christmas Parade

The City of Crossville is now taking entries for the Annual City of Crossville Christmas Parade. Entry is free, but you must register at the Palace Theatre Monday - Friday, between 9 am and 4:30 pm and pick up Parade information. The City of Crossville Christmas Parade is Saturday, December 9th beginning at 4 pm through downtown Crossville.

 


City of Crossville Leaf Removal Starts Monday, Nov. 27

The City of Crossville Street Department will begin picking up leaves in each area once every two weeks starting on Monday, November 27, 2017. This schedule will continue until January 11, 2018. Leaves do not have to be bagged. Please rake leaves to the road in an area where they can be easily accessed by equipment. If your leaves are missed, you can call the Public Works office Monday through Thursday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 931-484-7631 to make arrangements for leaf removal.

Cumberland County High School recognized their October Students of the Month: James Tice - 9th grade, Payton Myers - 10th grade, Samantha Parsons - 11th grade, and Madison Dodson - 11th grade. These students were nominated by CCHS teachers and staff based on their academics, attitude, behavior, responsibility, and attendance. The October Students of the Month were recognized with a scholastic certificate and other prizes from the Student of the Month sponsor, Mr. Drew Moses State Farm Agency.
